Oh lovely Misha...

We love Misha Lulu around here! Their line is so fresh and sweet and feels so reminiscent of those days when the milk man would drop off dairy to your doorstep. My girls own quite a few of Misha Lulu's fashion and I can honestly say, they adore wearing ML! Here is a tiny peak of their Spring/Summer '13 lookbook I shot over the weekend. I can't give anything away quite yet but it was a great shoot and the clothes are amazing!! ...til next time...

Behind the scenes of a cover model...

About a week ago, I had the opportunity to photograph the cover model for Babiekins Magazine (Winter 2012). Little Cohen was a great sport... wearing winter fashion in a blazing SoCal heat-wave!

introductions...

For my 1st post, I thought it appropriate to do a little intro! I am Jessie (waving hello!) ... nice to meet you. I am a commercial, editorial, and lifestyle photographer based in sunny Southern California. I specialize in baby, children, and tween fashion and portraiture. I love working with children and really enjoy their pure reactions. Children have an uncanny way of telling a story and showing real emotion that is artistic and beautiful and at times somber. Having children myself, I experience how to work with kids in real time and know that ,in this profession, patience is a virtue!

A little background check...

I began my college career as an art major and later transitioned my love for creativity into hair design. I worked in the beauty industry for 8 years and expanded my skills into fashion show hair design and photo shoots. This sparked my desire to learn more about photography and the production as a whole. I loved seeing a project develop from concept to production to the finished result. I began to art direct and photograph my own concepts and over time, turned my love for photography into a full time business. I have since shot various editorial and commercial projects for Babiekins Magazine, Dreamer -A Creative Sketchbook ( my photo was chosen as the cover for the spring issue 2012), Little Warrior Kids (fall lookbook 2011, spring/summer lookbook 2012, and fall/winter 2012), Courtney Courtney, Misha Lulu, and marketing images for Crafty Bands. I have also been seen in Vogue Kids Brazil and many kids design/fashion blogs nationwide.

I love to meet new people and discover amazing children's brands! My hope is to partner with talented and creative designers who want to deliver a unique story with their brand and showcase their work in a way that grabs their desired audience's attention. Images are the first impression of your brand...make it count!
